South Carolina Public Radio says the ordinance also covers daycares, and existing shops would have five years to comply if it passes. WCIV reported the town called the special meeting after learning of the shop.

The vape shop ordinance moved fast, with a second reading set for Dec. 7

  1. Oct. 28Town leaders delayed approving signage for the shop.
  2. Nov. 2Council voted unanimously to advance the ordinance at a special meeting.
