- ➤ The 147 year old cast iron bell from Ebenezer AME Church in Lincolnville was restored and will ring again when it is returned to the bell tower on Friday, Aug. 29 at 8 a.m. Rev. Judy Johnson-Joyner said the bell stands as a symbol of history and hope for the community. WCIV
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred just after 7 p.m. on Aug. 22 on Johns Island—where a passenger was ejected from the vehicle and later found dead on Aug. 25. Moultrie News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The South Carolina Army National Guard is preparing to respond if hurricanes or tropical storms hit the state—ready with high-water vehicles and a force of 11,000 soldiers and airmen that will work with state officials to keep citizens safe. WCBD
