- ➤ An analysis from the Charleston Regional Development Alliance shows that CCSD teacher and staff pay increases starting FY 2025 will add $350 million a year to the regional economy as extra payroll circulates through healthcare, real estate, and retail — a multiplier effect that highlights local benefits from competitive salaries. - ➤ East Cooper Montessori Charter School installed a native plant garden with more than 500 plants in November + students, staff, and volunteers worked on Rifle Range Road so that come spring the garden will support pollinators and teach environmental care. Moultrie News
- ➤ High school students at Trident Academy demonstrated entrepreneurial skills during Pitch Day on Dec. 18 by presenting business strategies to Patrick McNulty (owner of Bourne Group International) at the school campus. They applied teamwork and research skills from the District C Teamship program in a semester-long project. Moultrie News
- ➤ TeachCharleston, Charleston County School District's alternative certification program, spotlighted Ella Larson, a second-year teacher at Lambs Elementary who switched from mass communications to teaching. Supported by coaches & mentors throughout her training, she now teaches independently and thrives in the classroom. Charleston County School District
