- ➤ Mungo Homes held its fifth annual Week of Giving during the week of Dec. 10 by donating $15,000 to Camp Rise Above, $10,000 to Happy Wheels, and $2,500 to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Team members also volunteered to assemble beds for community children using funds from home closings. Moultrie News

- ➤ Laing Middle School sixth grader Amelia Radhakishun scored the highest among statewide middle school students on Achieve3000's Literacy platform (a tool built to boost reading skills). - ➤ College of Charleston rallied from a 16-point deficit to beat The Citadel 82-78 Wednesday night at TD Arena — with Jlynn Counter scoring 22 and key plays from Connor Hickman and Martin Kalu. The win marked their 14th straight series win and set up Sunday's game at Northern Kentucky. WCIV
- ➤ The Credit One Charleston Open was named WTA 500 Tournament of the Year for the fourth time—players recognized its excellent organization and support for women’s tennis. The nine-day event will run from March 28 to April 5 at the LTP Daniel Island tennis center with top competitors including Jessica Pegula. Moultrie News
