- ➤ Motley Rice LLC honored teen heart transplant recipient Mac at its Wish Wonderland party on Dec. 9 in Mount Pleasant by awarding him the WISH Spirit Award; the firm raised over $19,000 to grant wishes for local children and support families facing health challenges. Moultrie News

- ➤ The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels will headline the Charleston Air Show at Joint Base Charleston on May 2 to 3, 2026. Organizers say the free event will feature high-speed aerial displays + celebratory performances as the team marks its 80th anniversary and America’s 250th. WCIV

- ➤ Charleston County Public Library has received over $125,000 in grants to boost food access and adult literacy programs. The largest award will add a Free and Fresh site at Keith Summey North Charleston Library next year, while new reading and ESL classes will soon begin at several branches. WCIV

- ➤ Goose Creek native Jason Cassannello earned Texas League Clubhouse Manager of the Year honors with the Amarillo Sod Poodles while working behind the scenes for the Diamondbacks. He began as a batboy in 2012 and has steadily built his respected career in professional baseball. WCIV
