- ➤ On Nov. 15, 18 Mount Pleasant Rotarians cleaned Sullivan's Island Beach of trash including old shoes, beer bottles, and dog poop (with temperatures in the 50s) as a final sweep for the year to keep the beach inviting. This effort shows the club’s ongoing dedication to a safer local environment. Moultrie News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After the federal shutdown ended on Nov. 12, the state Department of Social Services began giving full SNAP benefits, with about 184,000 households receiving funds on Nov. 14 and all households set to receive their benefits by Nov. 19—more than 265,000 households, including many children, rely on this assistance. The Post and Courier

- ➤ Oceanside advanced in the Class AAA playoffs on Nov. 14 when it beat Marlboro County 24—7 at District 4 Stadium in North Charleston. Lucy Beckham ended its season with a 14—10 loss to White Knoll in Lexington. Moultrie News
