- ➤ The Town of Mount Pleasant honored Joshua Shumak on November 10 in a lecture for Native American Heritage Month. Councilman Mike Tinkey gave him a Certificate of Appreciation and the Key to the Town—marking the third year of the town’s partnership with the Wassamasaw Tribe and the local library system. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At the November 3 meeting, former Chief Building Inspector and Interim Building Official Mike Taulbee honored inspector Chris Davis for his five years of service and for working overtime to keep power on for residents during contractor delays—Taulbee added that Davis also provided extra training to colleagues to enforce building codes. - ➤ Nov 9th, the Corgi Cup at the 2025 Steeplechase of Charleston saw corgi owners and their dogs race for the title—competitors scrambled to the finish line in a spirited contest. The Post and Courier
- ➤ Wando High School girls’ tennis won the state championship by edging Spartanburg 4—3 in the SCHSL AAAAA Division 1 finals on November 8 at the Cayce Tennis Center.
