- ➤ The Coastal Carolina Fair—featuring over 80 rides, live music, and a petting zoo—is open at 3 p.m. today in Ladson and will run through Nov. 9, offering treats like chocolate waffles, a double banana split, and a steak sundae from local vendors. - ➤ At a Board of Trustees meeting, Superintendent Anita Huggins and board members celebrated state champion boys swimming teams from Academic Magnet—which won its first title in 12 years on October 10—as well as honored Nurse Malori Hay and Jerome Wine for their swift emergency response at Angel Oak Primary that earned them the 212° Award.
