- ➤ On Oct. 18, Sullivan's Island For All held a guided maritime forest tour at Station 16 to celebrate its fifth anniversary. Director Rebecca Fanning explained that rocks from Georgia mountains were moved to form features along Atlantic Avenue and highlighted the area's natural history. Moultrie News
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ South Carolinians will have a once-in-1,350-year chance to see Comet Lemmon blaze green in the dark sky on Oct. 21-22 when it will be visible with the naked eye or binoculars away from city lights. The comet will share the night with the Orionids meteor shower, which may produce up to 20 meteors per hour + offer another special sight for stargazers. The Post and Courier
