- ➤ The Mount Pleasant Library is hosting community events this fall that let residents connect with local services—on Oct. 20, residents can attend Coffee with a Cop from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on Oct. 22 a composting workshop with Charleston Composts and the Town of Mount Pleasant will provide free kitchen caddy and compostable bin liners, and in November a series of programs will celebrate Indigenous heritage with guest speakers and cultural exhibits. - ➤ Lucy Beckham led the Bengals to a 24-23 win over Cane Bay on Oct. 3—lifting the team to a 4-1 record in AAAAA Region 7. They will face the 5-1 Stratford Knights of Goose Creek at home next. Moultrie News
