- ➤ A homeowner reported a break-in on Fair Sailing Rd on July 30 when she returned at 11 a.m. and found pushed windows and knocked-over plants + police swept the property and collected fingerprints + she said she will press charges. Moultrie News
- ➤ The Sullivan’s Island Police Department identified the driver of the truck recovered from the water on July 31 and obtained arrest warrants charging him with indecent exposure, dumping litter in excess of 500 pounds, and malicious damage to property valued at $10,000 or more—his identity will be released once he is arrested. - ➤ South Carolina Tax-Free Weekend is underway as parents and shoppers can save on sales tax when buying approved back-to-school items—backpacks, pencils, tablets, clothing and dorm room supplies can be purchased without state or local taxes until August 3. - ➤ Crown Leadership Academy is finalizing preparations for the upcoming school year in its new, customized and expanded campus at 546 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant—marking a major milestone in its fifteen-year history.
