- ➤ Cathryn Blalock from Lowcountry Orphan Relief discussed the ongoing school supply drive at the WCBD—streaming center, noting needs from backpacks to notebooks for children returning to class. - ➤ At 10:20 p.m. on I-26, Quintero Pedro Trejos crashed into a police cruiser while officers helped a disabled vehicle, injuring two officers who were later released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries+westbound lanes between Septima P. Clark Parkway and Mount Pleasant Street reopened shortly after midnight. WCBD

- ➤ Grammy-nominated Marcus King will host his family reunion festival in the Lowcountry on Aug. 23 and 24 at Firefly Distillery, with performances by acts such as Jamey Johnson and Molly Tuttle and ticket options available for one or two days.
