- ➤ At 10:20 p.m. on I-26, Quintero Pedro Trejos crashed into a police cruiser while officers helped a disabled vehicle, injuring two officers who were later released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries+westbound lanes between Septima P. Clark Parkway and Mount Pleasant Street reopened shortly after midnight. WCBD

- ➤ Grammy-nominated Marcus King will host his family reunion festival in the Lowcountry on Aug. 23 and 24 at Firefly Distillery, with performances by acts such as Jamey Johnson and Molly Tuttle and ticket options available for one or two days. - ➤ Mount Pleasant resident Cleary Simpson looked into her daughter Anna’s nerve and muscle troubles and found that Anna had Charcot—Marie—Tooth disease after turning 16.
