- ➤ At its July 8 meeting, Mount Pleasant Town Council debated a proposal to rezone a 1.008-acre tract near Watermark Residential Community for a car rental service—members were split over concerns such as outdoor storage and light pollution. The vote ended in a 4-4 stalemate, and the council will revisit the issue at its August session. Moultrie News
