- ➤ At the Rotary Club meeting on May 21, Edward Lee gave a 27-minute talk on Scanlonville’s 150-year history in Mount Pleasant—laying out key events from the emancipation era to later property disputes. He also explained new plans for a Scanlonville Praise House Parklet that will protect the community’s land over the next two years. Moultrie News

- ➤ Nine Great Clips salons in the Charleston area, including two in Mount Pleasant, are holding a haircut fundraiser to raise money for Sarcoma cancer — customers donate any amount and get $3 off their next cut.
