SCDNR urges boaters to wear life jackets and avoid riding on moving boats after eight boating deaths statewide so far + law enforcement will patrol local waterways and offer free boat inspections during Memorial Day weekend.

Andrew Muller performed 3,000 pull-ups at 5 a.m. on May 23 in Mount Pleasant to raise awareness and funds for his wife’s rare lung cancer – her treatment now targets a new option from Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Charleston resident Scott McLeod underwent a total laryngectomy at MUSC after cancer threatened his voice.
He recovered using a tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis (TEP) and later shared his new voice at his wedding while now helping others learn there is hope.
