Ed Sutton said lawmakers reached a compromise on liquor liability laws when the Senate approved the bill 41 to 1 yesterday to ease insurance burdens for bars and restaurants—local hotels and veteran clubs can cut premiums if they close before midnight or sell less than 40% alcohol and if servers complete special training.
