- ➤ Carissa Carr, a Gifted and Talented teacher at Oakland Elementary and Stono Park Elementary, was named a Top Five Finalist for CCSD Teacher of the Year on May 2—she said she is honored— and she plans to use her role to promote strength-based teaching that builds on each student’s unique talents. - ➤ CCSD announced that Janice Malone continues as principal of Sanders—Clyde Elementary while taking on extra duties mentoring principals, effective immediately. The district also named Rebecca Accolla as the new principal of Carolina Park Elementary and she will begin her role on July 1. Charleston County School District
