- ➤ Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission will open three waterparks – Splash Island in Mount Pleasant, Splash Zone on James Island, and Whirlin’ Waters in North Charleston – for weekend use starting May 16, with daily hours beginning May 30 at the West County Aquatic Center.
