  • Chabad of Charleston will host Natan Sharansky on May 13 at 7 p.m. at the Center for Jewish Life (477 Mathis Ferry Road) in Mount Pleasant as he shares his journey of human rights work and inspires community pride.  Moultrie News
  • The WeGOJA Foundation invites property owners and culturalists along the Gullah Geechee corridor to join Preservation Night School, a virtual webinar series held at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of May through August, offering guidance on preserving family history & securing grant funding.  Moultrie News
  • Ladybird Books at (299 King St.) will host NYC baker Lucie Franc de Ferriere and Hannah Welton of Welton’s Tiny Bakeshop on May 6 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; guests receive a copy of her debut book Cake From Lucie when purchasing a $40 ticket.  Moultrie News

  • Mount Pleasant Library (1133 Mathis Ferry Rd) will host a virtual session on May 5 at 6 p.m. where retired investigator Rita Shuler will discuss her forensic photography career and answer audience questions; a repeat session is scheduled on May 18 at 11 a.m.  Moultrie News
  • Charleston County School District launched its pilot LAUNCH program today at R.B. Stall High School, offering students hands-on experience with local manufacturing partners.
