GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Charleston County held its final public hearing on a five-year plan to guide federal housing funds through 2030 on Thursday night and accepts input via an online survey open until April 20. The plan aims to expand affordable housing, address homelessness & support families with limited income. WCIV
- ➤ CARTA leaders will decide next week if they will expand the free Beach Reach Shuttle from Mount Pleasant Towne Centre to the Isle of Palms to run on Fridays in addition to weekends. The change comes as rising ridership and traffic congestion prompt the agency to consider a new service option that would cost about $8,000 for the summer. WCIV
