- ➤ Trident United Way received a $150,000 investment from the Coastal Community Foundation to expand its Family Coaches program supporting working families in Berkeley, Charleston (and Dorchester) counties, with funds provided as $75,000 annually over two years. WCIV
- ➤ Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum announced ticket sales for the annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on the USS Yorktown. Priced at $95, tickets give access to the flight deck at 7 p.m. on July 4 with live music, harbor views and onsite food, and limited availability on Eventbrite. Moultrie News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ MUSC Health announced on Thursday a $250 million campaign to build a new comprehensive cancer hospital that will offer inpatient and outpatient oncology services and advanced diagnostics for patients statewide (designed around patient and family experience). The campaign aims to support growing cancer care needs and clinical innovation. WCIV
- ➤ HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital and HCA Healthcare Summerville Medical Center launched a new interfacility transport program with a ribbon cutting event on April 9 at Trident Hospital. The program set up four ambulances at freestanding emergency rooms to improve patient care and speed up transfers. WCIV
