- ➤ North Charleston police announced on March 27 that the freight truck driver who hit and killed Summerville truck driver William Bennett on March 17 on Don Holt Bridge will not face charges—Bennett fell backward off his truck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Post and Courier

- ➤ The International African American Museum hosted Women of the Diaspora on March 27 at 14 Wharfside Street in Charleston to honor African American women's achievements during Women’s History Month— the event featured Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie in a discussion with entrepreneur Kenya Dunn on themes of faith, perseverance, and empowerment.
