- ➤ A driver died Wednesday after the car left Highway 45 in McClellanville, hit several trees, and ejected the sole occupant (the coroner’s office will identify the driver later) as deputies responded around 6 p.m. and the crash remains under investigation. WCBD

- ➤ A Mount Pleasant woman lost $43,900 on March 12 after a scammer posing as an Apple employee convinced her to send cash, gift cards, Bitcoin and Coin Flip transfers—police said she provided further evidence at her residence and closed her bank account. Moultrie News
- ➤ A Huger man accused of impersonating an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer was excused from his court appearance today after a viral video showed him allegedly taking a driver's keys—raising safety concerns in the Hispanic community. WCIV
