- ➤ Parents in Mount Pleasant are calling for more street lights along Darrell Creek Trail between Carolina Park Boulevard and Park Avenue Boulevard because students walk and bike to school in near darkness. One parent, Sarah Taylor, said she remains more motivated to fight for safety after the town advised extra lighting is not recommended at this time (the town will review options as part of the Darrell Creek Trail Capital Improvement Project). - ➤ A Lowcountry man was arrested on March 13 for burning three Tesla charging stations near Tanger Outlets on March 7 when witnesses saw him using red spray paint and igniting beer bottles—police later identified him as 24-year-old Daniel Brendan Clark-Pounder through surveillance and evidence.
