  • Mount Pleasant's Party at the Point and Dancing on the Cooper announced their 2026 concert lineups, featuring tribute bands and a variety of genres scheduled from April to September + tickets are available online.  The Post and Courier

  • The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group has announced The Cohesive Leader Academy + a new program with Cohesion Culture to help emerging leaders build inclusive work cultures and strengthen authentic networks.   • Local farmers are tackling a severe drought that has dried pastures and forced some operations indoors, as seen on Johns Island where farmer Thomas Legare worries about low rainfall & mushroom grower Nathan Hood maintains production with well water.   • A state judge ruled on March 11 that the disputed seawall at Isle of Palms can remain while homeowner Rom Reddy appeals its mandated removal — a decision that kept about $300,000 in fines aside. Environmental groups continue to challenge the structure's role in protecting the shoreline.  WCIV

HEALTH NEWS

  • Local colorectal cancer survivor Marielle McLeod, who became an advocate after her diagnosis was discovered by accident, will be honored at the 2026 Cologuard Classic in Tucson (an event celebrating over 400 survivors, patients, and advocates) during March’s awareness month.  WCIV
