- ➤ On Feb. 14, OVCA welcomed 18 youngsters at a weekend STEM contest sponsored by the Morris family. OVCA plans an after-school STEM program with Town Recreation + will host mobile health screenings on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. and a Laing School Reunion and May Day Festival Memorial Day weekend. - ➤ Kickin' Chicken recently announced it raised over $24,000 through specialty cocktails + donations to support Camp Happy Days, which used the funds to buy holiday gifts for families battling cancer. The restaurant will continue its partnership with the nonprofit with more events later this year. Moultrie News
- ➤ The 88 Club will hold early-bird breakfast meetings on March 4 and March 18 at Sunrise Bistro in Mount Pleasant with guest speakers Councilmember John Iacofano and Councilmember Laura Hyatt — the club meets at 7 a.m. on the first and third Wednesdays at 1039 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, and attendees pay for their breakfast. - ➤ Charleston County School District announced the CFO’s Financial Support Roundtable to boost communication among 15 financial support staff as part of its Financial Services Strategic Plan.
