- ➤ Engaging Creative Minds, a Charleston nonprofit, won a $125,000 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award to expand its YEScarolina youth entrepreneurship program into local high schools. The nonprofit celebrated with a Feb. 10 ribbon-cutting, and the funding will support educator training & practical learning experiences. Moultrie News
- ➤ Bryan Coleman, principal at Thomas C. Cario Middle School, will be named Principal of the Year by the SC Council for Exceptional Children at an awards luncheon on Friday, Feb. 27 in Myrtle Beach. His leadership doubled special education scores in English — nearly doubled Math results over state averages. Charleston County School District
