- ➤ R2P Innovations, a veteran-owned security company based in Ladson, was ranked No. 1 on the national Vet100 list for fastest-growing veteran-led businesses. The company will be honored at an awards dinner during the Veteran EDGE Conference in Dallas in March. WCIV

- ➤ MOJA Arts Festival held its spoken-word night 'Roots of a Renaissance' Monday at Dock Street Theatre in downtown Charleston to showcase local artist voices (the event highlighted African American and Caribbean experiences) and will host a tribute to the Queen of Soul Tuesday at 7 p.m. WCIV

- ➤ City leaders on the Isle of Palms met tonight to weigh funding for a $30-million beach renourishment project — with $11 million from Wild Dunes and $10 million from preservation funds — as they warned that further erosion may worsen the shoreline and work will not start until funds are secured. - ➤ Hilton Head waiter Matt Fulmer is running for Congress to represent working families facing rising rents, healthcare costs and stagnant wages, and he says his campaign brings a working-class perspective to local economic challenges with primary voting set for June 9. WCIV

- ➤ In January, VirtuAlly expanded its virtual nursing services at MUSC by embedding experienced pediatric nurses in the Level IV NICU to help care for critically ill newborns while reducing nurse burnout.
