COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Retailer M. Dumas and Sons teams with Charleston Animal Society to revive Puppies in the Window during SEWE weekend from Feb. 13 to 15 at its King Street store. Puppies will be shown from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with donations aiding the society’s mission (animal cruelty prevention).  WCIV
  • Students at Charleston Day School donated over 500 cereal boxes to the Lowcountry Food Bank during the 2026 Souper Bowl of Caring, which will support 5,000 meals for children in need — boosting local hunger relief.  WCIV

BUSINESS NEWS

  • TRIO Solutions, a woman-owned marketing communications firm, marks 25 years in service as the longest-running agency in town. Based at the Harbor Entrepreneur Center, the firm will continue to expand its services (including responsible AI use) to support local businesses and nonprofits.  Moultrie News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Beeple Studios, a 50,000 sqft creative space on Daniel Island, offers a new art venue with digital exhibits and hands-on events. The studio, founded by Charleston native Beeple, will host live mural painting on March 21 to celebrate street artist Shepard Fairey's work.  Moultrie News
  • On Feb. 3, a Blue Pearl celebration delighted kids at Ye Old Fashioned Cafe in Mount Pleasant. Local author Mark Schaper greeted visitors (with toys, stickers, paperbacks, coloring books, an underwater treasure hunt, and plenty of ice cream) during the event.  Moultrie News

  • An $8 million Super Bowl LX ad set for Feb. 8 could instead buy 72 local boats or 888,888 oyster sliders — a choice that invests in community projects and supports local businesses in Mount Pleasant and nearby Charleston.  The Post and Courier
