- ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry will hold the 2026 Oyster Roast on Feb. 21 from noon to 3 p.m. at Bohemian Bull on Folly Road to support youth mentorship programs; tickets cost $35 in advance and $45 at the door. Moultrie News
- ➤ Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Doug Mills — known for capturing historic moments — will speak at The Cheese Ball on May 14 at Wild Dunes Resort’s Osprey Ballroom. The banquet honors local police and fire departments and offers a special luncheon for donors. Moultrie News

- ➤ Brian Callahan and Joseph Stellugi have launched Water Heater Doctors to repair, install and maintain water heaters in Mount Pleasant and nearby towns.
