About this event

Yin — Restorative for Mind & Body Yin is a deeply meditative, floor-based practice centered on passive stretching and full-body support. Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, each posture is designed to gently release tension stored in the muscles, fascia, and joints. With no standing sequences, this accessible practice invites you to completely surrender effort and allow the body to soften naturally. Poses are held for 3–5 minutes, targeting areas such as the shoulders, hips, legs, and lower back. Rather than activating muscles, Yin encourages stillness and ease, allowing connective tissues to gradually open with minimal physical strain. Slow, mindful breathing enhances this process, supporting both physical release and mental clarity. Rooted in principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practice weaves awareness of meridian pathways and chakra energy centers throughout the session. The experience concludes with an extended grounding meditation and aromatherapy, leaving you feeling calm, refreshed, and deeply nurtured. *Benefits Reduces Anxiety & Stress
- Research published through the United States National Library of Medicine has shown that consistent Yin Yoga practice can help reduce anxiety levels. When we experience stress, the sympathetic nervous system—responsible for the fight-or-flight response—becomes overactive. Yin Yoga stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and balance. Supports Nervous System Regulation
By activating the vagus nerve—the primary component of the parasympathetic nervous system—Yin may positively influence mood regulation, digestion, immune function, and heart rate. Improves Mobility & Flexibility
Long-held postures gently stimulate fascia and connective tissues, helping maintain joint health and range of motion. Encourages Deep Relaxation
More meditative and slower-paced than Hatha Yoga, Yin emphasizes mindfulness and calm awareness, making it ideal for those seeking restoration over exertion. Perfect for anyone craving intentional rest, Yin offers a quiet space to reset the nervous system, restore the body, and reconnect to a grounded sense of well-being. $28
