The Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission is comprised of seven citizens appointed to serve two-year terms. At monthly meetings, commissioners review agency business and vote on policy-related matters. The agency’s Executive Director, Kevin Bowie, serves as staff liaison to the commission.
Commission meetings are held once a month at the Headquarters Building, located at 861 Riverland Drive, Charleston, SC 29412. Agendas and meeting packets are posted in advance of each meeting, and approved meeting minutes are added once they have been formally adopted by the commission.
