Pop-Up Craft & Carve Brunch

Local arts collective Bear Paw Creative Camps will bring hands-on printmaking to the deck at Tin Roof on Saturday, Nov. 21, with its Pop-Up Craft & Carve Brunch, a relaxed afternoon dedicated to relief block carving and sustainable fashion.

Instead of traditional canvases or paper, attendees will learn the fundamentals of linocut carving and hand-press permanent textile ink directly onto curated, washed and ready-to-wear secondhand clothing.

The workshop offers an accessible, hands-on alternative to fast fashion at one of Charleston's independent music venues.

The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at Tin Roof, located at 1117 Magnolia Road in West Ashley. Tickets cost $35 and include a rubber carving block, carving tools, textile inks and three thrifted garments from curated racks. Attendees may also bring their own clothing items to customize.
